Background
Dr Swanit Hemant Deshpande is a Consultant Urologist and Andrologist with a special interest in men's sexual health, male fertility and reproductive medicine, alongside Female & Functional Urology.
He completed his MCh in Urology at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College & General Hospital (Sion Hospital), Mumbai, as a Gold Medalist in Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. He previously completed MS General Surgery at TNMC & BYL Nair Hospital and MBBS at Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, and holds MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
His international clinical exposure includes training in andrology and sexual medicine, female urology and advanced endourology in the United States. He also completed an andrology apprenticeship under Dr Rupin Shah.
Clinical & academic interests
Erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, male infertility, varicocele, azoospermia, microsurgical infertility procedures, Female & Functional Urology, video urodynamics and minimally invasive urological surgery.
He remains actively involved in research, scientific presentations and teaching in urology and andrology.
Beyond medicine
Outside medicine, he is the founder of the Indian Medical Tennis Society (IMTS), a national community bringing doctors together through competitive tennis and professional networking.
